I got a royalty check in the mail last week from O’Reilly.
The payment was for a book that is not done yet, and the money was not an advance against my royalties. It was for copies that we have already sold.
Because we starting selling Every Book Is a Startup as soon as I had the first chapters complete, O’Reilly and I started to earn revenue immediately.
