The title of her talk is Claim The Root of Your Power: Lessons from Mothers and Avatars

Greet –

She starts by giving space to let everyone greet each other.

The Navajo greeting Ya’at’eeh means “everything in the universe is good/beautiful”

Prepare –

Her mother taught her to raise her children to be independent.

She calls out Avatar: The Last Airbender as a metaphor and what the elements mean:

Protect yourself.

TRUST YOUR ROOTS.

Keep a notebook that allows you see how you are reacting to situations and where you have power and what takes away that power.

Opening Comments from Chris:

15 countries represented at the conference.

50 people travelled more than 5000 miles to come to the event.

The furthest traveller came 11,000 miles from Wellington, New Zealand.
