The title of her talk is Claim The Root of Your Power: Lessons from Mothers and Avatars
Greet –
She starts by giving space to let everyone greet each other.
The Navajo greeting Ya’at’eeh means “everything in the universe is good/beautiful”
Prepare –
Her mother taught her to raise her children to be independent.
Element –
She calls out Avatar: The Last Airbender as a metaphor and what the elements mean:
- Air – disconnect from the earthly plane and talk with the spirits
- Water – quietest but the most powerful of the elements.
- Earth: completely grounded, a rock in the real sense of the word.
- Fire: when you need to purify or heal big problems
Protect –
Protect yourself.
TRUST YOUR ROOTS.
Keep a notebook that allows you see how you are reacting to situations and where you have power and what takes away that power.
