We visited Casa Mila or La Pedrera. This is another creation of Antonio Gaudi and one of his later works. The building was designing with storefronts at street level and 13 private residences. It's amazing and looks like it grew from the ground where it stands. #lapedrera #gaudi #modernisme #barcelona #catalunya Today I went on a book lover’s tour of Barcelona. In no way was it complete, but it had many good stops. First, I visited the Biblioteca de la Ciutadella at University Pompeu Fabra. Then, a return trip to Geek’s Triangle. Gigamesh is a wonderful book store with Norma Comics a good second place contender. I then walked up to Altair, the travel specialty bookshop with books for every region of the world in Spainish and English. It also has both a cafe and travel agency. And finally, a visit to the lovely La Central location in L’Eixample. Hibernian in the Gràcia neighborhood has the best selection of English titles in the city. Haiku also deserves a shout-out for a wonderful curation of Japanese culture ranging from Manga to Zen. If I had more time I would have tried to talk my way into the reading room at Biblioteca de Catalunya.
