
In 2010, Seth Godin asked people to make a list of what they shipped. I have been doing this exercise each year since then. You can see my past #YearInReview posts here. I continue to believe this reflection is one of the most important exercises I do all year.
- Acquired the sales and distribution rights to the tiles at Bard Press.
- Transitioned Bard Press distribution to a new partner Two Rivers Distribution / Ingram.
- Published a research report on the relationship between first year book sales and lifetime sales of a title.
- Wrote 29 additional posts and essays on the Bard Press blog.
- Hosted two interns at Bard Press this year.
- Made to two early morning trips to the Oregon Coast for the yearly low tides.
- Celebrated graduation of my oldest son and his start in college this fall.
- Walked all six of the SW Trails in Portland over the summer with my middle son.
- Launched an Amazon used bookstore with my daughter, shipping over 100 orders this year to readers all over the country.
- Took my first plane trip since early 2020 to visit new partners at Kansas Leadership Center in Wichita.
- Spent a late summer week on Mt. Mood with the family.
- Participated in Rohatsu, a week long meditation retreat celebrating the Buddha’s enlightenment.
- Read 50 books this year.
