The anniversary for this blog quietly passed last week. I just wanted to quickly acknowledge it.

I continue to be amazed by how this medium is changing communication. Take Marc Andreessen (co-founder of Netscape) and his recent entry into the blogsphere. His posts ranging from venture capitalists’ motivations to best science fiction novels.

In the past, his knowledge about the software industry would only have seen the light of day in a book. The book would have been a flop, because the market dynamics of publishing. Things like audience size and limited retail distribution would have limited the potential from the start.

With blogging, we get Marc live, talking about what he wants to talk about and in the way he wants to talk about it.

I just think it is awesome.

It will be interesting to see who else is blogging four years from now…
